Robert Half’s top client is seeking a Deskside Support Technician to join the Enterprise Standard Architecture V (ESA V) program, supporting IT services for the Department of Justice (DOJ). This role involves Tier II IT support in a Windows office environment, providing high-quality, customer-focused service to DOJ staff, including senior leadership offices.

Deskside Support Technician

Location: Washington, DC | 100% On-Site

Clearance: Current Secret Clearance Required

$38/hr W2

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide deskside support for user-reported and dispatched tickets

• Perform break/fix support for end-user devices (e.g., hard drive and battery replacements)

• Install specialty software not pre-packaged in SCCM

• Remove network devices as directed by Security

• Diagnose and resolve printer issues and install toner

• Deliver white glove support to DOJ staff, ensuring timely and professional responses

  Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years of IT support experience (Tier II) in a Windows office environment

• Experience with ITSM ticketing systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong customer service mindset

• Ability to work independently across multiple DOJ locations

• High School diploma (or equivalent)

• Active Secret Clearance

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience supporting DOJ components.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Operate independently, managing assigned tickets via an ITSM system.

• Prioritize tasks based on ticket urgency and customer needs.

• Provide after-hours support as needed for DOJ leadership offices.

• Work across multiple DOJ locations in Washington, DC, with eventual relocation to Merrifield, VA.
