The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Infrastructure Team. In this role, you will develop complex, mission-critical applications for various DHS tenants, focusing on both scoped and global solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and products professionally. You will have experience and excel working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and will be proficient in collaborating with contractors and government employees. Expertise in CMDB data management, integrations, troubleshooting, reporting, and dashboards is essential. Confidence in presenting to senior government personnel is a must. Skill in delivering clear and comprehensive whiteboard sessions is crucial.

This position requires a team player who can coordinate efforts effectively and adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally, to diverse audiences.

The primary work location of this position is the Nebraska Ave Complex (NAC) in Washington, DC, currently with telework authorized with a signed telework plan agreement. The candidate must live in the National Capital Region (NCR) commuting area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area) and must be able to commute to the NAC when required.

Responsibilities:

As a NOSC Infrastructure ServiceNow Developer, your primary responsibilities include creating and updating workflows, configuring modules, designing applications across the platform, supporting ITSM development, and solving urgent mission issues through critical thinking.

Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:

• Actively participate in agile daily/weekly scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily in SNOW documenting development progress and collaborating across platform teams

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the ServiceNow platform and scoped applications.

• Develop code, unit test, hold code reviews, check in code, and build the code pipeline for continuous integration/continuous delivery.

• Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate roll out of new applications and modules and configure application UI, workflow, and API.

• Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each.

• Support in the development of use cases and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality, debugging, and testing is completed prior to production deployment.

• Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.

• Develop process documentation, testing, workflows, and work plans.

• Coordinate with multiple departments within and outside of the customer’s organization to accomplish project tasks.

• Be an independent self-starter and proactive at developing solutions and solving business problems using ServiceNow.

• Ensure all development is created in alignment with ServiceNow Technical Best Practices

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred

• BA/BS + 10 years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent (equivalency includes MA/MS and 7 years’ applicable experience or AA + 12 years applicable experience)

• 1 or more active ServiceNow certifications

• Extensive ServiceNow Development experience

• Extensive understanding of the ways in which ServiceNow can be configured and customized and scripting within the tool.

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP or REST web services.

• Experience with JavaScript programming language.

• Experience in scrum and agile frameworks for development to include task management, performing stand-ups and sprint reviews, gathering requirements, and creating documentation.

Desired:

• Familiarity with the following:

  • JIRA

  • Confluence

  • ITSM

  • C#, Java, Node.js, Python, Go, and Ruby programming

  • ITOM/Discovery

• Experience with non-Microsoft SQL data platforms

• ITIL v4 - Foundation

• Previous DHS or DoD experience

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$109,800 - $241,600
