Job Description Summary
The International Trade Compliance (ITC) team is responsible for the compliant execution of global export controls and sanctions laws and regulations. The successful candidate will work closely within the ITC team and GEA programs/functions to compliantly apply international trade laws and regulations to support and drive international business.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Consistent with the role of the ITC team, the primary tasks of Senior Specialist – ITC include, but are not necessarily limited to):
Prepare applications for submission to the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security
Ensure compliance for all aspects of U.S. Government authorizations, exemptions, and exceptions, including monitoring and maintaining licenses, agreements, and any required certifications and annual reports
Manage and maintain records in accordance with U.S. Government regulatory requirements and internal policies
Track, status, and provide reports and metrics associated with trade compliance activities
Coordination amongst the ITC team and with internal stakeholders to understand key business objectives and to develop export and import authorizations that allow for the efficient and timely export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on trade compliance matters for the assigned GEA programs/functions, including providing strategic advice and guidance related to trade compliance for program activities, license determination, authorization use, and proviso/condition management
Provide training on compliant execution of trade and sanctions regulations, as well as USG authorizations, including licenses, agreements, and exemptions/exceptions
Identify process and procedure improvements and coordinate on implementation thereto
Participate in and, where appropriate, lead projects or initiatives of varying complexities..
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Bachelors' Degree or equivalent experience and at least 6 years of prior relevant trade experience
Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and regulations administered by OFAC
Experience in the application of ITC regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs) in high volume environments
Experience with Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) and Manufacturing Licensing Agreement (MLA) preparation and administration
Experience with DDTC licensing and exemption usage
Experience with Commerce licenses and exceptions
Knowledge of DECCS, SNAP-R, and/or OCR EASE

The base pay range for this position is $124,100 to 165,500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible This posting is expected to close on February 3, 2024.
