The Research Associate (RA) will work with the PC and PI on a large PCORI funded multi-site RCT. The RA will recruit from offices throughout the DMV, ensuring students enter data correctly, all car matters, and supervise day to day tasks of the undergraduate students. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Possess a working knowledge of excel and redcap in order to run reports for the PC and PI.

  • Work directly with the data coordinating center at Medstar Health Research Institute (MHRI) and attend twice monthly meetings with the PI, PC and MHRI.

  • Ensure that clinics have coverage as they need which varies from clinic to clinic, making the student and car schedules.

  • Work closely with the PC to respond to emails, phone calls, and meetings.

  • Use a personal phone that Georgetown covers or utilize a GU issued cell phone.

    Work Interactions Activities performed by the RA will directly support the progress of the project. The RA will attend and often lead division and project specific meetings, in addition to the GU Clinical Research Associate meetings held monthly. The RA will work with PC and Research Associate on Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) . The RA will report directly to the PC and PI. Running a clinical trial is a very time intensive endeavor as it requires close interactions with parents, practicing clinicians, subcontractors, and multiple university personnel.

    Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and up to 1 year of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Consideration will be given for a combination of education and experience

  • Previous experience working on clinical trials

  • Studies of similar sample size and budget would be helpful

  • Work experience in project management and sponsored research administration

  • Must be fluent in Spanish

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Knowledge of research methods will be helpful

  • PC will be required to complete and maintain human subjects protection, HIPAA, and ICH Good Clinical Practice training certifications upon hire

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$20.16 - $31.30

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
