Oasis Systems, LLC Radar Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia
Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Radar Engineer in Washington, DC, supporting acquisition of USAF Air Traffic Control Systems in the Global Air Traffic Systems Branch of the Aerospace Management Systems Division.
The work for this position shall be both done out of the FAA office located in Washington DC as well as virtually.
TRAVEL: Yes (est 10%)
BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
Experience with Air Traffic Control Radar is highly desired.
Candidate must have an active US security clearance.
Possess the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms on highly technical topics.
MUST be a US citizen.
Review/Recommend design concepts.
Evaluate, analyze, and validate ATC radar performance.
Analysis of design alternatives.
Provide sound advice on modernization sequencing and mission improvements including dependencies.
Conduct Systems Engineering analysis to evaluate aging hardware and make recommendations for new and modified subsystems and components.
Provide evaluations (e.g., identify best approaches for system upgrades and modifications to the radar system).
Analyze radar system metrics (i.e., Essential System Performance).
Contributes toward development/refinement of System Requirements Document.
Conducts analysis of assets, documents and addresses potential capability gaps.
Assists in the design and validation of new threat scenarios for ATC radar performance and regression testing.
