Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer with 12 to 15 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PySpark Azure Analysis Services and Python3. Experience in Investment Banking Operations and Investment Banking & Brokerage is a plus. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data processing solutions using PySpark and Azure Analysis Services.

• Oversee the development and maintenance of Python3-based applications to support various business needs.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications by conducting regular code reviews and performance tuning.

• Develop and implement best practices for data management including data governance and data security.

• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team is using the most effective tools and methodologies.

• Participate in the planning and execution of project timelines ensuring deliverables are met on schedule.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process by identifying and implementing process enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all technical solutions.

• Drive innovation within the team by exploring new technologies and approaches to solve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience with PySpark Azure Analysis Services and Python3.

• Should have a strong understanding of data processing and data management best practices.

• Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Should have experience working in a hybrid work model and be comfortable with day shifts.

• Nice to have experience in Investment Banking Operations and Investment Banking & Brokerage.

• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Should be proactive in staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

• Must have a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions on time.

• Should be detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the performance and quality of applications.

• Must have experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
