The Engineering Services, Configuration and Data Management TaskManagerleads the support team of PMS 400D7, which is responsible for contract services of the DDG 51 Class new construction design agents, the configuration of DDG 51 class design, the data management of multiple contracts under PMS 400D responsibility, and finally thespecialized oversight of DDG 51 class standard equipment (CSE).

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of over thirty personnel comprised of configuration and data management analysts, as well as information support, class design engineering management and financial analysts dispersed across Washington D.C., Bath ME, and Pascagoula MS.

  • Oversee the tasking of divisions accomplishing configuration management (CM), data management (DM) of contract data requirement lists (CDRL) and government integrated database environment (IDE), CSE, design engineering and financial analysis. Specifically, provide expertise to support high visibility items such as, but not limited to,

  • Preparing shipbuilder multi-year procurement (MYP) configuration baseline

  • Developing and enforcing DD form 1423 data requirements

  • Incorporating ongoing database modernization efforts

  • Ensuring Navy oversight of vendor CSE purchase specifications

  • Analyzing contract specific trends in design and finance

  • Participate in regular meetings on CM, DM, CSE and Design Engineering, and financial tasking. Coordinate cross-task and cross-program levels of effort to ensure balanced workload and customer requirements are met.

  • Coordinate and support the resolution of specific issues within the technical community and maintain direct interface with DDG 51 stakeholders. Assist division leads to solve high visibility or complex issues, as required.

  • Develop integrated briefs incorporating material from multiple Task’s capabilities to support customer discussions. Assist in the update and development of respective PMS 400D Instructions to ensure programmatic consistency within the processes maintained for the DDG 51 program.

  • Ensure most recent DoD and Navy Instructions, respective to tasking, are incorporated into deliverables. Coordinate projects impacting Task and PMS 400D.

  • Provide expertise on DoD contract structure, verbiage, and enforcing standards.

  • Evaluate direct report personnel performance and make recommendations on merit increases. Accomplish other personnel actions such as hiring actions, time recording and training.

  • Coordinate quarterly customer directed travel; accomplish TARs, VARs, and Trip Reports. Coordinate acquiring badges, building access, and ensuring appropriate maintenance of team’s accounts. Ensure CACs and NMCI accounts do not expire and are updated accordingly.

  • Participate in Serco business development activities, as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance post-employed, Active secret clearance preferred.

  • 10 years professional experience

  • 5 years’ experience supporting Navy acquisition or data/configuration management, preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficiency in a variety of computer applications, including MS Office and Document Review/File Management databases.

  • The ability for meticulous document review and quality assurance.

  • The ability to collaborate in a virtual environment with team members in multiple locations.

  • A proactive and ambitious mindset; thorough and curious nature.

  • The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
