Responsibilities This position is located in the Division of Hydropower Licensing in the Office of Energy Projects. As a Program Manager, some of your typical work assignments may include: Serving as a Program Manager (Branch Chief) and carrying out responsibilities in a manner that exemplifies and promotes the five leadership behaviors: communication, setting direction, implementation and achievement, fostering and promoting teamwork, and building trust and commitment. Ensuring all programmatic responsibilities of the Branch are effectively accomplished. In so doing, works as a team with DHL Director, Branch Chiefs, and OEP staff to support the Commission's and OEP's mission and program objectives. Reviewing work products and provide effective feedback to improve work products ensuring consistency with Commission policy. Maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff in other Divisions within the Office and other Offices within the Commission. You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience preparing Environmental Documents (Impact Statements or Assessments) pursuant to NEPA, the Federal Power Act, and Commission rules and regulations related to existing or proposed applications for hydropower projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
