The Program Director of Enrollment Management has direct impact on the admissions, continued enrollment, and potential transfer eligibility of international students in Georgetown’s ELC programs and is a key strategic partner in the development of Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies’ overall international recruitment strategy. The incumbent in this position manages the entire enrollment lifecycle from inquiry to admissions, visa issuance and advising, and the student lifecycle from registration to payment and immigration stop-out. Key responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with the Associate Director, Intensive English Program, and Director of Programs, oversee and direct student support services and advising for international students who apply and are admitted to the English Language Center (ELC) programs at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, including the IEP, TEFL certificate, and custom programs.

  • Work closely with the ELC leadership and SCS stakeholders to manage ELC enrollment goals and projections, including the development and implementation of recruitment strategy and outreach.

  • Act as a Designated School Official (DSO) certified by the Department of Homeland Security’s Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).

Work Interactions

The incumbent reports directly to the Associate Director, Intensive English Program and interacts with prospective and current students, alumni, DSO(s) within Georgetown University, and other key stakeholders in ELC and SCS. They interact with various offices outside of SCS, including but not limited to the office of the University Registrar, Student Health Insurance, the Office of Revenue and Receivables (Student Accounts), Student Employment Office, and Office of Global Services. The Program Director interacts with various external stakeholders like DSOs external to GU and e mbassies, as well as other third party sponsors. All SCS employees are required to support Tropaia and Commencement. One must have U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residence to comply with the Department of Homeland Security Designated School Official requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree and minimum of 4 years administrative experience related to student admissions, enrollment management, and academic operations

  • Thorough knowledge of federal nonimmigrant visa regulations (SEVP – Student Exchange Visitor Program) and the ability to implement these regulations is essential, including knowledge of the visa application procedures worldwide along with specific policies for specific countries

  • Experience working with Student Information Systems and CRM/Admissions application systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required as well as the ability to interact effectively in a cross-cultural environment

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with proven troubleshooting and solution-driven problem solving skills

  • Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office and Google apps

  • Previous experience working with (Banner), ISSM (International Student & Scholar Management ), CourseLeaf, Destiny, and Salesforce preferred

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
