Summary The Program Analyst Health Architect (HA) is tasked with developing and tracking numerous complex architecture projects and products that fall under the area of responsibility. The HA is responsible for keeping stakeholders, federal partners, the Lead Health Architect and Business Architecture leadership informed of all steps of progress for each of the architectural plans and communicating utilization and dispensation of architecture content. Major duties include, but not limited to: Serves as the architecture portfolio support resource for assigned projects within a designated area of responsibility, working directly with identified business owners and program office leads, and providing guidance for contract resources and fellow architects as an advisor. As the senior architect expert in the project, is assigned various responsibilities related to the centralized and coordinated management of architecture products under their architecture domain. Ensures the basic work assignments of contract resources are carried out and provides guidance and technical direction for accomplishing the work of the team. Develops architecture policies, procedures, templates, and other shared documentation. Manages shared architecture products across all projects administered by Business Architecture. Coaches, trains and provides guidance to include the development of architecture standards and quality plans for the office of Business Architecture. Responsible for advising and assisting the lead health architect with managerial aspects of the office including planning, budgeting and architecture control mechanisms. Obtains sponsor approvals for business and information technology assigned projects. Works with lead architects to coordinate and participate in meetings, conferences, training sessions and other forums to facilitate communication and coordination with all stakeholders, the assigned program office leads and supporting offices. Critical member of each project team to which they are assigned, acting in a supportive role to assist the project lead to ensure that teams are using Federal and VA compliant architecture management, policy, processes and procedures. Ensures that development and deployment of resources are optimally managed and administered to produce the best architecture products on time and within budget. Performs other duties as assigned. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Preferred experience: Expert knowledge of program development and delivery methodologies and architecture techniques to manage, identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement architecture strategies. Professional knowledge and experience in working with high-level, multidisciplinary architecture management and strategic plans related to the management of a complex healthcare delivery/education system.
