Requirements
The Office of Global Services (OGS) Program Administrator (OPA) provides administrative and admissions support to the Office of Global Services (OGS), coordinating the strategy for the OGS website and providing website support to all three teams in OGS. OGS serves over 3,600 international students and scholars studying, researching, and teaching at Georgetown as well as those students who remain in the United States post-graduation to gain practical work experience. This temporary position is part-time 20 hours. Duties include but are not limited to:
Administrative support to OGS: The OPA handles student inquiries across multiple OGS email accounts, manages and updates Canvas courses for international students and scholars, and creates various forms for immigration-related requests.
Coordination and Support with OGS website: The OPA coordinates content and design for the Global Services webpages and provides website support across all three OGS teams, including managing website edits.
Admissions Support: The OPA works closely with the OGS pre-arrival team to follow established processes for the issuance and tracking of I-20/DS-2019 Forms for over 900 initial entry, change of level, and transfer students.
Work Interactions
The OPA reports directly to the Director of the Office of Global Services. The OPA interacts and collaborates with all members of Global Services. The Office of Global Services has a direct impact on the international character and identity of the university. International and global initiatives are among the top priorities at Georgetown and significantly impact the University’s reputation and ability to recruit excellent students, professors and researchers. The Office of Global Services is responsible for non-credit-bearing international initiatives training, graduate school international programs support, university-wide training on international initiatives development, immigration advising, and partnerships and agreements. This position will be critical in supporting the OGS teams as they deliver quality service and resources to their constituents.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years administrative experience in a high - paced, professional environment required; Experience in a higher education/academic environment preferred
Excellent computer skills
A working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Canvas, ISSM, and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
Possess organizational skills to track and implement varied bodies of knowledge and functions and attention to detail
Prior strong customer service/student services/student affairs focus and interest in working with international students and demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity
Ability to communicate effectively and excellent interpersonal skills
Understanding of website design and maintenance, and writing for websites strongly desired
Excellent writing, attention to detail, and communication skills required
Work Mode Designation

Pay Range
The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $31.50 - $38.50. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
