Job Description:

The ideal candidate (will be expected to perform) capture processes using BPMN, identify areas for improvement. Understand complex business and IT solutions. Coordinate with stakeholder teams across business and technical units to develop documentation and produce artifacts and are consumable by the various audiences and stakeholders. Utilize enterprise architecture tools and processes to achieve the deliverables identified for each project. Facilitate requirements sessions with a variety of business units, such as Human Resources, Health and Safety, Finance, Accounting, and technical areas such as Facilities Management and IT. Perform operational support for Enterprise Architecture. Participate in creating deliverables for complex delivery solutions for medium to large projects. Leverage data to tell a meaningful story.

The candidate performs the following specific assignments:

  • Serve as the accountable delivery lead for engagements (Management Consulting and multi-business unit engagements)

  • Develop an understanding of overall client strategy and how your role contributes to that strategy

  • Develop tools and frameworks to support alignment and decision making with the client

  • Develop/architect project approaches and solutions to achieve a client's desired outcome based on expertise

  • Demonstrate understanding of client’s business and technical environment that are a part of the project implementation

  • Facilitate client discussions to drive clarity and resolution. (e.g., requirement sessions, design reviews, etc.)

  • Documents and understands client processes and requirements, identifies gaps, and contributes to deliverables

  • Actively engage in client sessions/discussions to capture key information and insights

  • Execute business analysis to comprehensively capture client's business priorities and challenges to identify opportunities

  • Analyze client information to comprehensively capture client's business priorities and challenges, identify opportunities, and develop insights and deliverables (process map, gap assessment, requirements, prioritization matrix)

  • Develop future state business models to support project initiatives that drive business value

  • Communicate concisely and clearly to clients ensuring opportunities and challenges are addressed in a timely manner

  • Translate client’s business needs into business requirements, use cases, and systems interaction diagrams

  • Demonstrate project implementation competency using project management tools and resources

  • Utilize best practices to design and deploy future state business models and initiatives that drive business value

  • Utilize collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, JIRA, etc.

  • Anticipate client needs to provide client what they need when they need it

    Program Manager/Business Solutions Architect solution development and sales support responsibilities include:

  • Build client relationships and opportunities through proactive account management and effective project delivery

  • Participate in internal knowledge capital and/or offerings development

  • Ensure a good understanding of the sales cycle and participation in proposals to expand / identify new work

  • Utilize area of expertise to identify and support opportunities (Pre-Sales / Sales Support - Proposal and RFP Response)

  • Develop relationship plans to grow current and targeted accounts

  • Develop/architect project approaches and solutions to achieve a client's desired outcome using functional and/or industry expertise

    Experience Required:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent with an exposure to IT topics.

  • At least seven (7) years of post-college full-time experience developing enterprise architectures and various sub-components thereof.

  • At least three (3) years of experience of working on Federal Government Enterprise architecture projects.

  • At least two (2) years of experience managing cross functional teams.

  • Competency in modern software development methodologies and technical architectures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum and project management methodologies.

  • Knowledge of databases / data stores, and how to access data.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.

  • Motivated to independently achieve results.

    Experience Desired:

  • Department of Treasury or other Federal Agencies, experience a plus.

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) accredited by PMBOK/PMI, etc

  • Local to DC a plus

    Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired:

  • An Enterprise Architecture certification, such as Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) is required complimented by specific certifications is preferred.
