The Operations Manager of Admissions in the Office of Admissions at the School of Continuing Studies handles many of the day-to-day functions of the busy Admissions office. This person is responsible for ensuring that prospective students who reach out to the Office of Admissions receive a response to calls and email messages in a timely manner. The Operations Manager of Admissions is also responsible for processing application documents, managing conditional admission processes, facilitating the scholarships process, and managing the main Admissions phone line and email inbox. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Operations Manager of Admissions handles many of the day-to-day functions of the Office of Admissions. This person is responsible for ensuring that prospective students who reach out to the Office of Admissions receive a response to calls and email messages in a timely manner. The Operations Manager of Admissions is also responsible for processing application documents, managing conditional admission processes, and facilitating Visual Compliance for SCS degree-seeking programs. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the admissions inbox, scholarships inbox, admissions main phone line, and application documents, responding to incoming inquiries and document submissions within 1-2 business days.
Coordinate with University stakeholders to apply tuition discounts and scholarships to students’ accounts.
Maintain a solid knowledge of Salesforce/TargetX as it pertains to admissions operations.
Oversee the electronic input of application documents into internal Admissions drive and Salesforce/TargetX, inputting and importing English proficiency test scores, transcripts, evaluations, letters of recommendation, and other supplemental application materials.
Maintain relationships with University partners and vendors as it relates to admissions documentation and application processing.
Oversee data entry and the ongoing maintenance of accurate student records and provide regular feedback to the Assistant Director to ensure the highest data integrity standards in the Admissions Office.
Manage conditional admission process and ongoing communication with admitted students and University stakeholders, monitoring admissions pages on the SCS website for accuracy and managing content edit requests to the Marketing team.
Manage the general office supply and marketing material inventories for the admissions office, expanding and maintaining the admissions processing manual to support daily admissions operations and ongoing training.
Work with the Assistant Director to assign tasks to Admissions student workers as needed to support Admissions operations.
Collaborate with upper management on all aspects of admissions operations, performing other duties as may be assigned.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Operations Manager of Admissions interacts closely with the recruiting and advising members of the Office of Admissions to advance the team goal of supporting prospective and admitted students during their time in the application process. The Operations Manager is often a prospective student’s first point of contact at the University; through timely responses to prospective students and close coordination with the Admissions team as well as University and partner stakeholders, the position supports Georgetown’s overall mission and goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher
One or more years of progressive experience in an organizational setting
Detail-oriented team player, able provide high levels of customer service
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications
Strong knowledge of CRM such as Salesforce; proficient in Google Workspace and comfortable with database maintenance
Capability for leadership, initiative, and timely follow-through with minimal direct supervision
Ability to communicate effectively and to utilize procedural writing skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$19.20 - $28.70
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
