FANNIE MAE Marketing and Communications - Events and Experiential - Lead Associate (Hybrid) in Washington, District Of Columbia
Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, production and execution of Fannie Mae meetings and events. These include live meetings occurring both in our offices and off-site, hybrid and virtually delivered modalities, with a primary focus on externally facing events. This position requires advanced meeting and event planning expertise from logistics management (site selection, vendor management, staffing, food an audio-visual equipment) and technical support to ensure flawless execution. This position demands a significant amount of interaction and communication with internal partners and senior leadership.
In this role, you will work in creative and innovative ways to continually improve the processes and practices around producing virtual and hybrid events. Additionally, this position may participate in strategic projects established by Fannie Mae Creative Studios and driving technology strategy and integration for in-office and virtual meetings and specialty spaces to optimize processes and enhance the experience for participants.

The Marketing and Communications - Events and Experiential - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
Ensure events meet business objectives and marketing goals.
Maintain the event budgets and participate in negotiations of all necessary contracts.
Identifysolutions and implementtechnology that can make events more efficient and effective.
Managerelationships with vendors that will support events across markets.
Leverage Core-knowledge of virtual event platforms to provide strategic consultation to business-units in producing virtual and hybrid events.
Oversees end-to-end event production and execution.
Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experience
- 5 – 7 years of relevant work experience in a virtual/hybrid support or event services environment.
Desired Experiences
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
CMP strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent critical thinking and ability to anticipate needs.
Effective problem-solving skills
Specialized knowledge in organizing and producing all logistical aspects of virtual and hybrid delivery modalities.
Provide a partner-centric, consultative, and solutions-oriented approach to logistics planning, communication, and overall client experience.
Work in a creative and innovative way to continually improve the processes around producing events.
Adds value to attendee experience through critical thinking, anticipating needs and offering additional services/support, if appropriate
Excellent partner service skills. Consults and drives the event process on behalf of the partner, providing expertise as a subject matter expert, to meet event objectives.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Programs such as: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams, to participate in projects, as directed.
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Teams virtual event support and production (managing breakouts, spotlighting, final attendance reporting, run videos, transition slides, build out run of show, manage speaker contracts, etc.).
Working knowledge of Notified (Intrado) virtual event platform a plus.
Ability to effectively managing risk and knowing what and when to escalate to leadership.
Ability to prioritize event requests and customer needs, using good judgment and logical thinking while working on multiple projects simultaneously under close deadlines.
Ability to adapt to change, while displaying executive presence while working in a fast-pace and demanding environment.
Effective problem-solving, calendar and time management
Takes initiative and demonstrates follow-through.
Experience using SharePoint
Experience using SocialTables for event management
Experience using Cvent for event management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience using Microsoft Teams Meetings and Teams Live Events
Experience using Virtual event production platforms, preferably Notified.
