Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Knowledge Management Specialist, CG-0301-13/14 in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Operations Branch, Training and Communication section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage risk management supervision-related knowledge and information as a strategic asset. Responsibilities At the full performance level, major duties include: Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of RMS's Knowledge Management Program. Prepares and presents management reports evaluating the extent to which knowledge management policies and programs meet RMS objectives. Collaborates with other offices within RMS to recommend solutions for internal communication needs and fast cycle learning, which will allow delivery of information at the right place and time. Analyzes training and development needs of RMS employees and makes recommendations to management on strategies to address knowledge gaps, including specific training. Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required. Qualifications Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-13: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade CG/GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of knowledge management programs, assisting with development of training strategies based upon knowledge gaps, and assisting with the development of management reports to monitor and evaluate knowledge management programs. CG-14: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade CG/GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of knowledge management programs, leading development of training strategies based upon knowledge gaps, and leading the development of management reports to monitor and evaluate knowledge management programs. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
