Job Description:

Plans and executes the migration of existing knowledge assets, documents, and data into new knowledge management system. Ensures data integrity, accuracy, and maintain historical context. Knowledge, skills and abilities in developing a detailed technical design and architecture for a Knowledge Management framework and system to include specifications for data storage, retrieval, security, user access, and integration with existing systems. Engages with internal and external stakeholders

Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct a thorough analysis of OUSD(I&S) knowledge management requirements. Engage with key stakeholders to identify knowledge assets, user needs, and organizational goals.

  • Understand how to develop a detailed technical design and architecture for the Knowledge Management framework and system. Include specifications for data storage, retrieval, security, user access, and integration with existing systems.

  • Recommend and justify the selection of a suitable Knowledge Management platform or system that aligns with OUSD(I&S) requirements and future scalability.

  • Implement the KM framework and system based on the approved design. Customize and configure the selected platform to meet specific organizational needs. Ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.

  • Plan and execute the migration of existing knowledge assets, documents, and data into the new KM system. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and maintain historical context. (Daily)

  • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and administrators within OUSD(I&S). Ensure that all relevant staff members are proficient in using the KM system's features and functionalities. (Bi-Weekly)

  • Conduct thorough testing to identify and address any bugs, issues, or performance concerns. Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of the system.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, system architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

  • Integrate the KM system with other relevant organizational systems within OUSD(I&S), ensuring a seamless flow of information and interoperability.

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support services, including troubleshooting, system updates, and addressing user inquiries within OUSD(I&S). Establish a help desk or support system for timely issue resolution.
