Government Publishing Office Financial Data Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

This position is part of the Plant Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia. Responsibilities Performs basic cost analysis requiring investigation of cost and production data and its application on rates. Performs the analysis and comparison of production statistics and other statistical data to evaluate production standard and performance. Analyzes and interprets printing and binding costs, production, and reporting. Prepares production costs and other statistical reports for review by higher level analysts and the Branch Chief. Reviews production standards, cost data, rates for congressional printing and other: financial information and used to determine trends, analyses, reports, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the Financial Data Analyst, PG -0501-11/12/13, you must meet the following requirements: NOTE: This is a Multi-graded Position and selections can be made at either 11, 12 or 13 grade levels. It is being posted at the PG 11, 12 and 13 levels with full performance level of PG 13. Minimum Qualifications for the Financial Data Analyst for PG-0501-11: only can be met by Specialized experience OR Education OR a Combination of Both: Specialized experience for the PG-0501-11 level: Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (PG-09) grade level in the Federal service which includes : The specialized experience: 1) providing basic financial administration services that includes assistance in cost analysis, rate reviews and projection of materials and labor costs OR Education Requirements for the PG-0501-11 level: Applicant possesses Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Possesses 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLM, if related. OR Combination of the Specialized experience for PG-11 level: Applicant possess the mentioned above specialized experience and education which equals 100%. Minimum Qualifications for the Financial Data Analyst for PG-0501-12 level: Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (PG-11) grade level or higher in the Federal service which includes Specialized experience defined as: 1) providing financial administration services that includes assistance in cost analysis, rate reviews and projection of materials and labor costs;2) price development and budgeting for manufactured products, services, and activities, and 3) allocating elements of cost to set rates and prices. Minimum Qualifications for the Financial Data Analyst for PG-0501- 13 level : Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (PG-12) grade level or higher in the Federal service which includes Specialized experience defined as: 1)providing financial administration services that includes assistance in cost analysis, rate reviews and projection of materials and labor costs;2) price development and budgeting for manufactured products, services, and activities, 3) allocating elements of cost to set rates and prices, and 4) develops trends, analyses and reports. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
