The Role

The Director Strategic Projects is a pivotal role responsible for driving the organization's growth and efficiency by ensuring that special projects are executed successfully and contribute to the broader strategic goals. This role involves developing and leading the organization’s special projects strategy, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of these projects, and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and lead the organization’s special projects strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of special projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective resource allocation and project success.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.

  • Risk Management: Implement strategies to identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between project teams and senior management, providing regular updates on project progress and outcomes.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct post-project analysis to assess impact, identify lessons learned, and inform future project planning.

  • Innovation Advocacy: Encourage innovative approaches and solutions within projects to achieve exceptional results.

  • Automation & AI: Leverage automation and artificial intelligence tools to facilitate achievement of strategic transactions.

Required Skills:

  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing and delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Project Management: Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in managing project budgets and financial resources.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on complex and strategic transactions.

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$149,084 - $198,779 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

$156,539 - $208,718 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.

$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
