Clinical Fellow Support:

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a partner school that provides education for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our speech therapy team on a full-time basis for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for developing treatment plans, completing evaluations, and collaborating with parents and other key stakeholders for students.

Additional responsibilities will include;

  • Provide year-round services for students including direct, small group sessions, and push in utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance communication skills

  • Compile and develop treatment plans to support students

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students, incorporating specific, measurable goals tailored to each student

  • Provide training on functional life skills for students approaching graduation

  • Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies, including communication boards, speech-generating devices, and sign language, as appropriate

  • Collaborate with department by being a part of team meetings with service providers, Special Education teachers, and BCBAs

    Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school-based or pediatric setting

  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • A valid D.C. SLP license in the District of Columbia issued by the D.C. Department of Health, Board of Audiology and Speech Pathology
