BAE Systems Business System Integration Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

Join BAE Systems Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy s Strategic System Program (SSP). We are searching for a Business System Integration Manager to join the CIO team to engage with the customer s organization to ensure the CIO team is providing the right IT capabilities so the customer can perform their mission.

The Role: As the onsite Business System Integration Manager, you will lead the BAE Business Integration Team while working hand in hand with the Government Business Integration team.

Responsibilities:

As the Business System Integration Manager, you will lead the BAE Business Integration Team in evaluating the IT needs of the organization, evaluating capability gaps, and working with the customer to close those gaps so the customer can perform their mission. Duties will include the following:

  • Work directly with the Government Business Integration team to identify strategic goals and objectives.

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and other project documentation to effectively complete projects, goals and objectives.

  • Create and maintain relationships with business stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including business users, product owners, and IT teams, to gather and document business requirements for technology solutions.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and network engineers to analyze business requirements and design solutions that meet the organization's needs. Document current and future state network designs, including network diagrams, configurations, system diagrams, and specifications.

  • Develop CONOPS, project plans, schedules, and other project documentation to implement and deploy the solutions

  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement, including documenting current and future state processes.

  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure a clear understanding of requirements, expectations, and project progress.

  • Develop and execute system level test plans to ensure that technology solutions meet the defined requirements and business needs.

  • Assist in managing the change process by identifying and addressing potential impacts on business processes, systems, and stakeholders.

  • Perform supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training, evaluating, counselling, and disciplining employees

  • Ensure personnel are properly qualified to perform duties effectively and identify successors for all key positions

  • Set technical and performance objectives with subordinates, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure that all team members are informed of and adhere to all pertinent company policies and procedures

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

BAE has found that success in this position requires:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience and at least 8 years of work experience.

  • Working onsite 3 days a week at the Washington Navy Yard

  • At least 3 Years of experience managing direct reports

  • Including performance appraisals, hiring, mentoring, and assigning work

  • At least 3 Years of experience managing IT Projects.

  • Ability to determine high level tasks required to complete projects based on existing procedures, domain knowledge, and previous projects

  • Ability to decompose high level tasks to lower level activities

  • Ability to estimate activities

  • Ability to track status of activities and overall impact to the schedule

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

  • At least 3 Years of Experience working with Network designs and network diagrams

  • Ability to read and understand network diagrams

  • Ability to create network diagrams using customer requirements, current network topology, and domain knowledge

  • Ability to communication effectively with customers and industry partners on the network diagram

  • Ability to analyze and understand complex business processes, identify pain points, and recommend improvements.

  • Proficient in gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.

  • Experience with IT systems and technologies, such as databases, software applications, and infrastructure, to understand technical feasibility and constraints.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and IT teams, and facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to business problems.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer s facility, and a SSP network account in good standing

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Additional education, experience, and skills that will further contribute to your success include:

  • Familiarity with DoD, Navy and/or SSP where the IT solutions are being implemented, to understand the business context and requirements.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
