Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Business Analyst, CG-1101-07 (FPL 12) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Operations Branch, Technology Services Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and is responsible for assisting with the identification, development, planning, implementation, and enhancement of information management systems in support of strategic and operational objectives. Responsibilities Creates low level applications using low/no code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Appian, SalesForce, ServiceNow). Assists with business processes, workflows, data storage tools, and data exchanges, to develop, implement, modify, and support technology solutions. Assists with planning, developing, and tracking status of moderately complex IT projects, or subcomponents of highly complex projects. Researches and answers technical inquiries on issues or systems identified by the manager. Assists with system maintenance activities, including analysis of issues, design, development, testing, and implementation of program fixes and changes, and support for system software upgrades, customer inquiries, and other activities required for ongoing operations. By Education: Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. or Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) and completion of a Bachelor's degree (see details below). or By Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-5 grade level as described below: Specialized experience is experience Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing information technologies to support an IT program including hardware, software, application development, maintenance, operations, network and website and website applications. or By Combination: Combinations of education and experience. To qualify for SAA, applicants must have met one of the following: a. A grade-point average of "B" (a GPA of 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. b. A grade-point average of "B+" (a GPA of 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. c. Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, University or major subdivision. d. Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.
