Job Description

CMI Management, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer for a site in DC. Candidate is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all Mechanical/Electrical and building equipment. Perform installation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Mechanical/Electrical equipment.

Requirements: Knowledge of operation of Mechanical/Electrical systems and ability to perform necessary Mechanical/Electrical repairs. Knowledge of systems which include but not limited to:

  • Boilers, their accessories and appurtenances

  • Fired and unfired pressure vessels and vacuum systems

  • Refrigeration and air conditioning machinery Chillers and their associated equipment including maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, controls, piping, etc.

  • Plumbing and piping including water, gas, heating, steam and sanitation systems

  • Electrical appliances and fixtures including lamping

  • Emergency power and equipment

  • Electrical motors, generators, circuits and switch gears

  • Machinery and equipment used in the production and for the health and comfort of personnel

  • Provide repair, carpentry, and painting renovations

  • Complete installations and modifications

  • Provide maintenance, repair and modifications

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass background check

  • Must have a 3rd Class DC Engineer License

  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.

  • Working knowledge of piping systems.

  • Must have at least two (5) years of experience in commercial/industrial operations;

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., climb/work from ladders, and walk up/down stairs with tools/parts
