Account Receivables Specialist Washington, D.C.

$65k, plus bonus, 401(k), hybrid work options, free parking

My client is a well-established general contractor with an exciting new opportunity for an Account Receivables Specialist. The Account Receivables Specialist will join an experienced team and be responsible for posting high-volume payments, including researching and reconciling accounts, processing cash receipts, and posting against open AR. Candidates with Great Plains experience are highly encouraged to apply. The Account Receivables Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager and must have a strong understanding of debits/credits. Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. area. The Account Receivables Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:

· Responsible for posting payments, including researching and reconciling accounts

· Processing various lockbox payments

· Tracking the aging report and assisting with collections

· Post cash and prepare cash receipts

· Responsible for maintaining contracts, cost coding invoices

· Assisting with preparing monthly reports

· Provide customer service, answering customer inquiries

Requirements

Requirements:

2 + years experience in accounts receivable

Experience processing lock box payments

Posting payments, reconciling, and researching payments

BS/BA degree is preferred

Great Plains is highly preferred

Stable job history
