Overview:

Girls Global Academy is a dynamic and growing charter high school dedicated to empowering young women through rigorous academics, personal growth, and community engagement. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations to join our leadership team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the school's operational efficiency, financial health and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for students and staff.

Position Overview:

The Director of Operations at Girls Global Academy (GGA) is a pivotal role responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day business operations of the school. This position  supervises and manages the operations coordinator, student recruitment coordinator and the attendance coordinator; oversees all operational processes and functions, including data management, finance, student recruitment and enrollment, compliance monitoring and reporting, facilities maintenance, security, and IT support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operations and Facilities:

  • Data and IT Management:

  • Oversee data vendors and ensure accurate reporting.

  • Manage external IT vendors for system maintenance and updates.

  • Student Recruitment and Enrollment:

  • Ensure full enrollment and timely collection of student data.

  • Facilities Management:

  • Oversee physical plant and equipment operations.

  • Manage contractors and custodial staff for facility maintenance.

  • Safety & Security:

  • Implement and oversee safety and security procedures.

  • Coordinate drills and manage safety incident reports.

  • Development and Communications:

  • Manage fundraising activities and donor cultivation.

  • Oversee marketing, website, and social media communications.

    Finance:

  • Oversee outsourced accounting vendors and manage financial processes.

  • Support annual budget planning and management.

  • Oversee asset management and procurement compliance.

  • Develop and manage grant budgets and vendor reimbursements.

    Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and education laws and regulations.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage business systems and processes to support a multi-million dollar organization, preferably in a school setting.

  • Demonstrated comfort in IT management.

  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.

  • Exceptional ability to multitask.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to plan and think strategically.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents and staff.

  • Excellent people management skills.

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding decisions involving system structures.
