Technology Strategy & Innovation Senior Manager
What you will do

In this vital role you will focus on ensuring successful progression of high value AI and other technology initiatives, placing a strong emphasis on acceleration to value within Amgen’s Technology Innovation Lab, part of AI & Data function. This role will report to the Executive Director, Technology Strategy & Innovation and will work with various cross-functional partners as well as external collaborators and play a pivotal role in driving value towards Amgen’s AI strategic imperatives and digital transformation, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
This Senior Manager position will:
Facilitate and orchestrate strategic AI initiative progression aligned with process
Act as functional expert in product and platform scaling process, providing guidance and developing best practices and tools to support scaling efforts
Proactively navigate and resolve any issues and risks that may hinder portfolio scaling success, empowered to break barriers and ensure continuity.
Act as the representative of assigned projects to key collaborators, ensuring transparency and alignment through effective communication
Develop positive working relationships with key partners, spanning cross-functional teams, Digital Technology and Innovation, and the broader new technologies' ecosystem to facilitate scaling orchestration
Capable of translating technical know-how into accessible, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and strategic investment of AI efforts across the organization
As assigned, manage key external technology alliance or partnerships, including governance, opportunity portfolio, and pull-through execution of key innovation

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of technology, and/or product management experience
Or
Master’s degree and 4 years of technology, and/or product management experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of technology, and/or product management experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of technology, and/or product management experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of technology, and/or product management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of life science functional areas, including knowledge of drug discovery and commercialization processes
Understanding of technology and software, particularly AI focused solutions to support life science processes
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Excellent project management and coordination/collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to successfully prioritize a diverse workload to meet deadlines and collaboration expectations
Autonomy to work independently with few instructions as well as know when to obtain direction
Demonstrable experience in working with or for Digital Health Startups, Biotech firms, or other emerging technology companies in a business development, partnership, consulting, or deal-making capacity.
Technical knowledge as it relates to digital transformation at the enterprise level.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
