Job Title: Traveling Painter Foreman

Job Description

A Painting Supervisor oversees various aspects of painting projects, ensuring they run smoothly and meet quality standards. The Painting Supervisor performs and coordinates the preparation and application of exterior and interior finishes in residential and light commercial settings. Candidates must have experience as a residential or commercial painter and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation of surfaces for painting, ensuring they are clean, smooth, and ready for paint application.

  • Assign specific painting tasks to team members, detailing the scope of work, expected outcomes, and timelines for each project.

  • Monitor the quality of painting work performed by the team, providing immediate feedback and corrective guidance if necessary.

  • Oversee the maintenance of painting equipment on job sites.

  • Discuss project requirements with clients and ensure work aligns with their expectations.

  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed during the painting process.

  • Maintain records related to project progress and completion.

  • Perform painting tasks and demonstrate experience in the field.

  • Hold a valid driver's license.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in residential or commercial painting.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Current driver's license.

  • Proficiency in painting techniques, including spray gun and spray painting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to arrive on time and assess job scope with Production Manager.

  • Experience managing a crew and setting workflow.

  • Skill in preparing wall surfaces and painting them as directed.

  • Capability to execute on-site job requirements.

  • Ability to determine and identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.

  • Experience serving as the liaison between Project Manager and crew, answering questions effectively.

  • Ensures the job site is completely clean after each job is completed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $30.00/hr.
