Robert Half Quality Assurance Tester in Warwick, Rhode Island

Description We are in search of a diligent Quality Assurance Tester based in Warwick, Rhode Island. The incumbent will be part of a dynamic team, responsible for designing and executing test plans, documenting software defects, and conducting compatibility tests for various environments. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and contributes significantly to the quality of our software products.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and procedures to ensure the quality of software products

• Conduct compatibility tests across various programs, hardware, network or mobile environments

• Accurately document software defects using a tracking system and collaborate with IT developers to devise corrective measures

• Actively participate in post-production rollout verification to ensure smooth transition

• Handle other duties or special projects as required or assigned, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility

• Utilize bug tracking tools effectively to maintain clear and accurate records of software defects

• Apply knowledge of database and EO/IR systems in testing activities

• Use HP Quality Center, AB Testing, Defect Management, Integration tools proficiently in testing processes

• Apply knowledge of Java and JavaScript in software testing

• Manage QA processes, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and standards. Requirements • Proven experience in the role of Quality Assurance Tester or similar

• Proficiency in Bug Tracking and Defect Management

• Hands-on experience with Database and Integration testing

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems and HP Quality Center

• Proficiency in AB Testing and QA Management

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java and JavaScript

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
