Our client is a leading global provider of medical technology solutions. As a multinational company, they develop and manufacture a wide range of medical devices and healthcare technologies for hospitals, clinics, and patients around the world. This position will support the programming on CNC machines onsite for this facility.
Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and modify existing machinery, fixtures, and tooling, including replacement of worn and broken parts, adjustment to proper parameters, and rework of machinery with minimal input.
Construct projects using ferrous metals, nonferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials.
Perform welding, brazing, and soldering, and demonstrate knowledge of heat treating techniques.
Rework production parts and/or oversee the rework by assemblers, and perform emergency rework and/or modification of production parts.
Modify existing machinery and processes, inspect prototypes and machining, and machine prototype fixtures and First Article Inspection components.
Use blueprints and sketches to determine proper methods and processes.
Design and construct jigs, fixtures, and parts.
Analyze and execute methods to lower production machine parts costs by in-house fabrication.
Maintain machine shop equipment to ensure the tolerances of precision machining.
Maintain records of repair, replacement, and inventory.
Support the engineering function and engineering projects as necessary.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in CNC programming for machines (Swiss, lathe, etc.).
Proficiency in computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, CATIA, ProEngineer, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX Software.
Experience and knowledge in GD&T.
Experience in the medical device industry, machining, and CAM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC programming in Mastercam.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Experience with CNC mill and lathe programming.
Familiarity with GD&T and axis programming.
Work Environment
This role is based in an onsite manufacturing environment in Warsaw, one of the largest facilities besides Zimmer Biomet. The candidate will work on the floor most of the time with machines and other technicians. The role offers an opportunity to support large-scale installations and repairs for CNC machines, with the potential for a long-term contract with a national medical device company.
