Monday - Thursday 10 hour night shifts

The Medical Technologist (MT) II maintains current professional knowledge and skills to perform testing as a generalist in the Clinical Laboratory, including advanced chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and serology or advanced microbiology. The MT II will achieve and maintain advanced skills in one additional area as defined in the Laboratory Career Ladder.

The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Minimum Education Associate’s degree □ Preferred X Required Bachelor's degree X Preferred □ Required

Exception: Meets qualifications under the CLIA '88 Grandfather clause for High Complexity Testing personnel.

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills Certifications: Medical Lab Technician (MLT ASCP or AMT) required Medical Lab Scientist (MLS ASCP) preferred

Minimum Work Experience Required - 2 years generalist or in specialty area. Preferred - 3 years.
