Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to help with the build-out of a cutting-edge satellite ground communication station. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing logistics operations to ensure the efficient and effective sustainment of our satellite ground communication stations product lines. A deep understanding of maintenance and sustainment planning, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) context, is essential. Additionally, the ability to develop and manage comprehensive logistics support documentation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance and sustainment plans with a focus on DoD requirements (Navy specificity is a plus).

  • Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to build and manage RCM plans.

  • Create and maintain sustainment and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) documents.

  • Conduct Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) analysis, including Reliability and Availability Block Diagrams.

  • Utilize the Relyance software package for logistics planning and analysis.

  • Perform Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) for both hardware and software components.

  • Manage Failure Reporting and Corrective Actions (FRACAS) processes.

  • Tailor maintenance and operations manuals for various operator levels.

  • Develop and deliver training documentation for maintenance and operations personnel.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD maintenance and sustainment planning (Navy specificity is a plus).

  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and experience building RCM plans.

  • Experience in building sustainment and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) documents.

  • Proficiency in MTTR analysis, including Reliability and Availability Block Diagrams.

  • Experience with Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) for hardware and software.

  • Experience with Failure Reporting and Corrective Actions (FRACAS).

  • Experience tailoring maintenance and operations manuals for various operator levels.

  • Experience in developing training documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with the Relyance software package.

  • Familiarity with LINUX operating systems.

  • Experience in software testing.

  • Experience in hardware testing.

  • Familiarity with RF-based equipment.

  • Familiarity with networking equipment.

  • Familiarity with uTCA or OpenVPX equipment.

Work Environment

This role is a hybrid position with two days a week onsite in Warrenton, VA. The work environment includes two different offices in the Vint Hill technology park, which features amenities such as a brewery, winery, and CrossFit gym. The total team consists of 70 people, with a subcontract team of 12 engineers. The Logistics Specialist will be one of two individuals solely dedicated to logistics work. The company culture is fun and hybrid, with a focus on prime contracts, modern open office space, and the ability to work with open-source technologies on defense projects for real-time military communication challenges.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $100.00/hr.
