ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Create and execute the sales strategy with product and sales leadership and execute it to achieve our revenue targets. Deeply understand the problems customers and users must solve to succeed in aligning customer need(s) products and solutions. Employ and leverage technical acumen/education in a consultative approach to help our customers understand the value proposition of our products, with specific attention to how they solve customer problems. Establish yourself as the company's foremost expert on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), providing guidance and insights to both internal teams and external clients. Become the go-to knowledge source in GD&T. Collaborate with functions involved in the sales cycle: business development, account managers, product management, customer success and marketing for team wins. Build a robust and ever-expanding pipeline of customers. Organize and lead sales calls Negotiate contractual terms of sales and collaborate with SAE support teamsKeep informed on industry news and trends; collect product/competitive market intelligence. Participate in tradeshows, conferences and seminars to generate sales leads.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in systems engineering, environmental or other degree with proven knowledge base in engineering tools and methods 5-7 years sales experience in related industries (transportation a plus) with a proven track record of identifying, nurturing, and closing business (this is not a support role; the successful candidate will source, develop and close leads for revenue-generating sales) 10+ years of technical experience with GD&T domain In depth understanding of GD&T to include a mastery of GD&T concepts, symbols, rules, and principles, including form, orientation, location and runout controls; familiarity with standards such as ASME Y14.5 and ISO 1101, which govern GD&T practices; ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and specifications that utilize GD&T Practical experience-- hands-on experience with GD&T in a relevant industry, such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing or engineering; experience in applying GD&T in real-world design, manufacturing, or quality control processes.Analytical Skills--strong analytical and problem solving skills to explain how GD&T can address complex engineering challenges ability to break down complex concepts into simpler, understandable components demonstrated experience managing and maintaining a sales pipeline of not less than $1M; GD&T Sales Leader must stay informed of industry trends, technological developments, and standard requirements of GD&T (ASME and ISO)Skills: Ability to communicate with a diverse set of internal/external stakeholders, organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Suite, marketing experience, financial management experience, public speaking experience.
