Your Role As a Innovation Supervisor, you will be a regional leader for Connection Systems Innovation team. In addition, you will align with Product Line Management, Sales, Application Engineering, and Engineering leadership on technology roadmaps and future advanced development strategies, lead advanced development collaborations with customers and strategic partnerships with suppliers, reinforce use of Aptiv's Advanced Development Process (ADP/TDP), design procedures, and systems to develop new products for manufacturability, robust performance, and high quality, and represent Innovation Team in management reviews, customer visits, supplier visits, etc. In your daily job you will: Lead Connection Systems Innovation Team. Reinforce use of Aptiv's ADP/TDP process, component design procedures, and systems. Forecast and manage department and prototype budgets (accurate monthly forecasting). Manage employee information and approvals in Workday. Participate in ADP/TDP Gate Reviews - mentor presenters. Lead CTC Facility and Innovation Room Tours for customer, supplier and VIP visits. Collaborate with other Aptiv business units on One Aptiv development projects (ex. SVA, CES, etc.). Work with SCM and coordinate activities/strategic partnerships with outside suppliers as necessary to support advanced product designs. Protect Aptiv's intellectual properties, document Records of Invention (ROIs) and support patent filings. Lead advanced development collaborations and business pursuit opportunities with customers. Facilitate NDAs and JDAs with legal as necessary to project Aptiv's interests. Report out to and escalate issues as necessary to Global Innovation Director. Your Background Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your: 5 years management / leadership skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Strong verbal and written skills - able to present to multiple audiences from subordinates to leadership. 3 years CAD and simulation experience. Strong project management skills. Able to manage multiple, simultaneous assignments. Robust analytical and problem solving skills. Teambuilding/mentoring skills. Able to lead effective and efficient meetings - in person and remote.
