Job Descriptions:
Sigmatech is seeking a well-qualified and motivated electrical engineer with significant experience in current Army Tactical Radio communications devices as well as hardware integration into various wheeled, tracked, and floating platforms. This position is in support of Project Manager Tactical Radios and is based out of the Warren, MI area, serving as a liaison between program executive offices, where the successful candidate will:
Provide Electrical Engineering insight and knowledge to integration activities
Provide technical support to PEO GCS platforms program of record to integrate HMS GEN II and LR radios onto the platforms
Act as an LNO to PEO GCS, coordinating with product, platform, and OEM offices for integration efforts.
Integrate the GEN2 Manpack and 2-CH Leader Radios into all US Army wheeled and tracked vehicles identified in the draft Network Basis of Issue Plan (NBOIP).
Provide technical support with the development of Technical Data Packages (TDP) including Bills of Materials (BOM), interconnect diagrams, and all supporting documentation required for fabrication and procurement of vehicle kits for the mounted GEN2 MP and 2-CH LR into all variants of US Army vehicles.
Provide technical support to the production effort for GEN2 MP and 2-CH LR vehicle kits to satisfy new equipment fielding requirements in FY25 and beyond.
Provides technical support to ongoing efforts to expedite integration, reduce cost, and produce a better-quality integrated PM TR product line.
Provide technical briefings to leadership as required to address technical and programmatic issues
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Minimum of ten (10) years related experience of progressively more complex experience in hardware design, development, and documentation
Must possess a current understanding Army wireless/Tactical Radio devices and be able to integrate systems
Must have recent and relevant experience leveraging theory and knowledge of terrestrial Line of Sight/Beyond Line of Sight (LOS/BLOS) communications with recent and relevant experience with RF and RF measurements to review test data and make recommendations based on results
Very strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with all levels of management and cross-functional team leadership and coordination
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects
Must have a minimum of an active Secret clearance
Travel: may be short notice and may also exceed 30%
