Northrop Grumman Business Analyst/Principal Business Analyst in Warner Robins, Georgia

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Business Management Analyst / Principal Business Analyst for activities associated with the Subsystems and Software Sustainment (S&SS) Operating Unit located in Warner Robins, GA. Must be able to work onsite.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Interface with functions and managers to provide financial analysis on program performance

  • Support multiple internal and external compliance audit requests

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support management and provide needed detail to business management

  • Establishing the accounting structure within SAP

  • Developing baseline Estimate at Complete and conducting monthly updates

  • Controlling the costs, identifying financial issues and working them to resolution

  • Ensuring the contract's financial performance is in line with company expectations and goals for awards, sales, margin and free cash conversion

  • Tracking and resolving accounts receivable and accounts payable issues to a quick resolution

  • Prepares in-depth budgets and schedules for small-to-medium sized programs and performs analyses to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines

  • Performs financial analyses and prepares variance explanations, estimates to complete (EACs), and monthly corporate and customer reports related to cost/schedule performance, staffing, and sales outlook

  • Prepares EVMS baselines, maintains artifacts, analyzes monthly performance, updates Cobra system, and prepares monthly IPMRs.

  • Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government

Basic Qualifications for Business Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree 3+ years' relevant experience in financial analysis, procurement, supply chain, or business/project management // Masters degree w/ 1 year of relevant experience Or in lieu of a degree, 7 years' relevant experience in financial analysis, procurement, supply chain, or business/project management.

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

  • Proficient using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, and/or other large scale ERP systems

  • Experience with data mining and use of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Dashboard and visualization experience in excel

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field

Basic Qualifications for Principal Business Analyst:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years' relevant experience in financial analysis, procurement, supply chain, or business/project management.// Masters degree with 4 years of relevant experience Or in lieu of a degree, 7 years' relevant experience in financial analysis, procurement, supply chain, or business/project management.

  • Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or other large scale ERP systems

  • Proficient using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in Aerospace & Defense

  • Expertise in the government regulations FAR and DFARS

  • Prior work experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, and/or other large scale ERP systems

  • Experience with data mining and use of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400

Salary Range 2: $76,600 - $115,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
