DESCRIPTION We are hiring per diem Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) to join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham! As a PTA, you assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist and participate in clinical program development. Education & Experience: Associate?s Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. CEU?s per state licensure requirements. Current licensure by the applicable state agency where required. Prior clinical experience preferred but not required. New graduates welcome! Duties & Responsibilities: May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as assigned by the Rehab Program Manager. Under a physician?s order provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised, and group. Contributes to the team meeting and decision making process as defined by the program. Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers. Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor. Documents activities according to the company?s clinical documentation system on a timely basis. Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. Participates in clinical program development and implementation. Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field. May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor. Participates in quality improvement activities. Specific Requirements: Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary. Communication skills needed for directing staff, customer relations, marketing activities. Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care. Requires intense attention and concentration. Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others. Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language.
