Duties: Develop compiler software for Veloce emulator systems to be used for functional verification of System-on-Chip circuit designs prior to fabrication. Develop and improve software that analyzes clock and data networks, does partitioning, placing and synthesis of logic to support the mapping of the customer design onto the emulator resources. Participate in design and implementation of new functionality for the compiler as well as support current functionality. Write system level tests that use software simulation. Develop new testing methods aimed at regressing corporate software and uncovering functional and scalability problems. Oversee a small compiler software team. Mentor and assist in the design and implementation of the software and tests assigned to the team. Interact with other Veloce software teams as well as Veloce emulator hardware teams in an international, multi-site, development environment.

Requirements: The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 84 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development related occupation. The position requires experience in the following: Software development of large C++ applications; Algorithm and data structure design; EDA software development including timing analysis, synthesis, design partition, placement, routing and memory handling; Implementing programs with multi-process communication OS; Working with software testing methods; Performing basic gate level digital logic design.
