Job Description

The Machinist's work includes layout and 6S of machining cells, setup/breakdowns, and making tool adjustments/operating various types of manual and CNC machine shop equipment. The machinist will work with team members including their supervisor, other machinist, and engineers to assist in fixture development, setup/machining time reduction, and process improvement.

Job Duties

• Make safety a priority in daily tasks and operations

• Record labor consistently and accurately utilizing the company ERP system

• Work from blueprints process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metals and plastics to precision dimensions.

• May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly.

• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.

• May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.

• Implement and maintain 6S organization in assigned work areas

• Participate in continuous improvement program

Lifts up to 50lbs.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent

Experience: 2 - 4 years of related experience. Experience working with Manual lathes, Mills, CNC Mills and Processes. Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment a plus.
