Job Description
How you will make an impact:
Seeking a DSAS Controller, who will provide controllership expertise, insights and business partnership to the global DSAS team. This role will ensure strong internal accounting controls, and timely and accurate financial reporting. Additionally, it will drive the strategic direction and design of internal controls and compliance across the Controllership function, while advising on technical accounting issues. The position holder will lead the DSAS accounting team and provide valuable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities and give to the development and execution of the business’ annual strategic plan
What you will do:
Design and implement AIG controls for audits and controllership assessments; develop Blackline compliance system.
Act as primary technical accounting liaison with auditors and corporate customers; address accounting issues and transactions.
Provide accounting expertise and leadership to key customers.
Lead design, implementation, and monitoring of financial controls for revenue recognition, procurement, inventory, and fixed assets.
Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage Division balance sheet; ensure US GAAP and local financial statement accuracy; oversee revenue recognition and commercial partnerships.
Improve controls and efficiencies to enhance scalability and compliance.
Analyze financial and business performance; provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
How you will get here:
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; Certified Public/Chartered Accountant or relevant certification preferred.
5+ years of shown experience in financial controls, compliance, or internal audit roles, preferably within a multinational organization is desired
Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance is a must
Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to assess their impact on financial controls.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated experience in crafting, implementing, and being responsible for financial controls, including risk assessment methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including developing effective solutions for identified control weaknesses
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including ability to take an independent stance on positions across functional partners and senior leadership
Strong technical, and analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to elevate perspective at the appropriate time
Highly knowledgeable about SEC reporting and internal controls over financial reporting preferred
