Our 403b retirement savings plan includes a generous match. Summary Oversee the planning, execution, and promotion of concerts, events and functions for the Divisions of Creative Arts and Humanities. Manage staffing and operations for all Brandeis Concert Series events. Job Description Event Management: Organize all aspects of concerts and events for assigned departments and programs, including the annual Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts. Be onsite for complex events and assign a student leader for all other events. Independently manage virtual and/or live event planning for assigned academic departments or programs. Liaise with speakers/visitors as necessary. Track charges and keep detailed files. 30% Communications: Develop communications strategy for assigned Division(s) and departments and programs therein. Curate websites for departments and programs in Divisions. Create publicity plans for department and program events and execute plans, including creating publicity materials, working with contracted designers, and posting materials in-person and online. 30% Concert and Music Operations: Oversee stage management/setup, concert hall audio and video equipment operation, recording/live streaming, and lighting operation during rehearsals and concerts. Coordinate concert receptions as needed. Manage concert hall instruments and equipment. Hire, train, and supervise student concert staff and building monitors. Provide student and faculty access to rooms, equipment and rehearsal scheduling. Track instrument locker assignments. 30% Other duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Support cross-functional groups for assigned Division as requested. 10% Requirements Education: B.A./B.S. required. Work Experience: 2-4 years Knowledge of concert program format and design is required, as well as the ability to work with instruments and technology related to concert production (audio, video, lighting). Evening/weekend work and moderate lifting and moving of instruments/equipment required.
