Description
We are looking for a seasoned Paralegal to join a growing team in Walnut Creek, California. As a Paralegal, your role will encompass a variety of tasks related to complex civil matters in the legal industry. Your primary responsibilities will include managing multiple complex litigation matters, reviewing and evaluating discovery documents, and drafting initial drafts of various legal documents.
Responsibilities:
• Handling multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
• Examining case filings and offering detailed assessments to attorneys.
• Drafting and preparing initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings.
• Reviewing and evaluating discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.
• Creating comprehensive case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.
• Managing personal billable time and ensuring accurate accounting.
• Utilizing case management software to maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Assisting attorneys with discovery requests and responses.
• Drafting motions related to insurance defense litigation.
• Utilizing Adobe Acrobat for document management and calendar management for scheduling.
Requirements • Must have proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
• Competency in Case Management Software is essential
• Must be skilled in executing Billing Functions
• Calendar Management skills are required
• Experience in Insurance Defense Litigation is mandatory
• Must be able to handle Discovery Requests efficiently
• Ability to draft and manage Discovery Responses is necessary
• Should be able to Draft Motions effectively
• A paralegal certificate or equivalent training is required
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks is required
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary
• Should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must have a professional attitude and strong work ethic.
