Job Description: We are seeking a Finance Director to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial guidance, ensuring the long-term financial sustainability and compliance of the company. This role requires a strategic leader with excellent financial acumen, operational skills, and the ability to foster a high-performance culture within the finance team. Position Responsibilities: Financial Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage the company’s financial strategy to support organizational objectives. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, including creating forecasts, analyzing variances, and recommending corrective actions. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Cost Management: Analyze expenses and lead cost-saving initiatives to enhance financial performance and efficiency. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Risk Management: Identify financial and operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal financial controls to ensure accuracy and security of financial data. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment. Lead initiatives to optimize the use of Deltek software for financial reporting and analysis. Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory filings. Prepare and coordinate audit schedules and documentation for internal and external audits. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred). Master’s degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in government contracting and compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Extensive experience with Deltek software is required. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to executive leadership. Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership. The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
