Basic Job Functions:

The Inside Sales Representatives responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the divisions safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability objectives. Inside Sales Representatives work directly with our customers, managing inquiries, orders, releases, claims, and perform any other duties associated with exceeding our customers expectations, as well as collaborating with the Outside Sales Force, Production, Quality, and Shipping teams to help generate sales and provide customer service that exceeds our customer expectations. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Sales, or duties directly associated with Customer Service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Marketing or two years of B2B experience in a sales-related field including involvement with customer service, resolving customers concerns and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of the steel industry

  • Familiarity with forecasting, cold calling, prospecting, and strategizing.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Willingness for occasional travel
