Responsibilities

At IGT, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Computer Operator II in Wallingford, CT. In this role, you will perform entry- to intermediate-level monitoring and operational tasks for operating equipment in one or more jurisdictions. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining flawless and world-class operational procedures, checklists, policies, and national IT Best Practices.

  • Demonstrate a relentless commitment to meeting and exceeding customers' expectations while also achieving the goal of reducing the risks and costs of providing services.

  • Work to build an effective partnership with the customer daily. Listen to customers and ask the appropriate questions to determine their requirements.

  • Perform intermediate-level network monitoring by confirming tool set availability, using tools to verify services, and detecting, reporting, escalating, and documenting anomalies according to established procedures.

  • Monitor logical security through the use of established tools and procedures.

  • Perform intermediate-level monitoring of systems and servers by confirming tool set availability, using tools to verify services, and detecting, reporting, escalating, and documenting anomalies according to established procedures.

  • Conduct entry-level analysis and resolution of network technology issues related to IP network devices and backbone transports, following established procedures and utilizing available tools under minimal supervision.

  • Successfully perform, verify, and restore established procedures in the operational checklists to guarantee the completion of all draw processing, day-end processing, system balancing, file system maintenance, change requests, report/file transfers and deliveries, messaging, and jackpot details, system locations/configurations, and internal/external customer requests.

  • Effectively coordinate, validate, track, follow up on, and address internal and external customer requests in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Submit recommendations to create and/or maintain operational procedures and checklists.

  • Adhere to service level agreements by following established SLA performance requirements.

  • Follow established performance and audit requirements in line with recommended IT standards.

  • Support local testing policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical college degree or comparable experience

  • 1-2 years' experience in related field preferred

Minimum technical knowledge and skills requirements - Required

  • Where applicable, must be able to monitor and troubleshoot multiple technologies.

  • Able to navigate through Unix/Linux/AIX/VMS/DOS and perform basic commands

  • Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP protocols

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Office suite and PC operating systems

  • Intermediate knowledge of Retailer POS, call center tools and

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $49,795 - $53,227. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
