Job Description Position Overview: Responsible for providing subject matter expertise related to EBM Technology platforms in support of complex capital projects and development of long term strategy for the platform. Lead will manage a team of technical experts to review new products from a manufacturing perspective; manage multiple projects at multiple sites from conception to qualification with overall responsibility for productivity, timing and budget. Support productivity and cost reduction projects with in manufacturing locations. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Will be the owner of the EBM Technology and will have the responsibility to participate with multifunctional teams to establish and approve Engineering Standards of EBM Wheel and Shuttle platforms in regards to mold, platform and process standards Ensure that corporate safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into the project scope and budget. Create bills of materials for new capital projects and provide support for the capital appropriation process. Upon approval, refine feasibility studies, with input from the Plant Managers and Plant resources, into a mutually acceptable action implementation plan, which meets cost and timing criteria. Manage functional reports as required to ensure that their project objectives are being met. Analyse and evaluate the performance and cost of new, proposed or existing equipment. Includes evaluation of machinery, tooling, work flow, and vendors. Communicate and resolve technical, timing and budgetary issues related to projects as they arise. Publish weekly project status reports outlining projects status and issues. Create and maintain division level technical specifications, standards and documentation for Operations Engineering department. Communicate with plants on a regular basis to understand long term project performance and support resolution of plant issues. Review and comment on plant CEAV requests to ensure accuracy and compliance to standards. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree and /or other relevant experience or certifications in Engineering or related field Minimum of 10 years' engineering experience in the plastic packaging industry with focus on extrusion blow molding Minimum of 7 years' experience in project management role Experience managing direct reports Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to work within a fast paced system with multiple tasks and locations Travel 75% Compete
