HAI Hospitality Inc seeks 2 temp FT Line Cooks from 11/01/2024 to 4/30/2025. Duties: Line cook will work in restaurant kitchen using all kitchen equipment, including but not limited to stove, oven, grill, fryolator, knives, mixers, food processors, dishwasher, and cleaning supplies. Employee will prep and cook food for service. Food to be cooked is American cuisine, including burgers, sandwiches, meatloaf, roast chicken and salads. Additionally, soups, desserts and specials may be part of food offerings. Position will be supervised by the executive chef. Position requires standing for the duration of the shift and may also include washing dishes and cleaning kitchen area. Restaurant is open daily for dinner with food being offered from 4pm to 10pm daily and is located in a tourist area. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Worksite at 1428 Mill Brook Road, Waitsfield, Vermont 05673. \$18.64/hr Mon-Sun 40 hrs/wk. Must be able to work any 8 hr shift within 8am to 10pm any day of the week, days off rotate, shifts vary. OT may be avail. @ \$27.96/hr. The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Employer guarantees work hours equal to at least 3/4ths of the workdays in each 12-wk period of the total employment period. Workers will be paid bi-weekly; the employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required by law but will make no other deductions. Workers who cannot reasonably commute to their place of residence at the end of each workday may elect to utilize 3rd party housing. Employer will deduct the cost of optional housing charged by the 3rd party for workers. The cost of optional housing will be \$450.00. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts.
