Description

We are looking for a General Manager to join our team in the construction industry. This role is primarily focused on leading and managing all aspects of the company including sales, marketing, operations, purchasing, pricing, customer service, safety, and administrative activities. Furthermore, you will be tasked with the responsibility of driving growth and profitability through the development and execution of sales and relationship strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the business by serving existing clients and reaching out to new key demographics

• Establish financial goals for the company in coordination with leadership and plan all functions to meet these goals

• Create and execute policies and procedures to provide consistent guidance to functional teams while fostering a team-oriented, customer service philosophy

• Effective management and leadership of the sales, design, and construction of post-frame buildings

• Monitor operations to ensure that the team adheres to delivery timelines; recommend adjustments to the production process

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients; ensure quality client service through continuous personal interaction

• Lead the team to generate leads, qualify prospects, manage sales, and meet with customers to discuss needs and to assess the quality of relationship

• Work with leadership and personnel on other initiatives as required

• Promote the company mission, purpose, and core values in all activities and duties

• Develop a personal growth plan to support and growth with company initiatives and personal goals

• Ensure inspection and measuring of products for quality purposes; discuss inspection results with those responsible for producing products

• Implement initiatives to fulfill the annual optimization plan with monthly changes and updates

• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of sales metrics.

Requirements • Proven experience in a General Manager role within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Construction Accounting and Construction Cost management

• Proficiency in profit and loss management, including Profit Growth, Profit Margin, and Profit center accounting

• Familiarity with major ERP systems and ERP solutions in a business context

• Experience implementing lean methodologies such as Kanban and Six Sigma in a construction or plant setting

• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and guide team members

• Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to solve problems efficiently

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as PMP, CPM, or CCP is considered a plus.
