SUMMARY

Supervises all aspects of the IT / Cyber Security support organization involving multiple disciplines within the IT / Cyber Security Organization / Business Analyst & IT Projects. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and resolve issues to ensure the support organizations perform their functions satisfactorily to support the IT / Cyber Security Department and station. Implements and/or maintains programs within the IT Project Management and IT Business Analyst organizations (Life Cycle Management, Asset Management, Budget, Polices, Procedures, Research and Development, internal audits) to ensure the programs are maintained to support the IT / Cyber Security health of the department and station.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration or mathematics. (Preferred)

• Without a Bachelor degree an Associate degree and 3 years of experience will be considered.

• Without a degree, 8 years of experience in Project Management / Business Administration will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

• 8 Years + experience in Business Administration, Projects and Policies and Procedure (Required)

• Leadership or Supervisory experience. (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

Performs people management.

• Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).

• Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).

• Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.

• Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.

• Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.

• Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.

• Understands and implements company policies.

• Provides employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments.

IT SUPPORT SERVICES - SUPERVISOR:

• Oversee the support of areas Business Analyst, IT project management, groups.

• Management of the station’s Life Cycle Management Program and Asset Management Program.

• Manages IT Projects, Purchase of IT / Cyber Security Contracts and Business and Budget Plans

• Remains current on communication technology, research/evaluates networking equipment in which to provide management with technological advice and recommendations.

• Maintains knowledge and understanding of NRC Regulations pertaining to Emergency Response Department and Security Department Plans.

• Monitor organizational activities, evaluate impact of internal and external factors (e.g., technology, regulations, business environment) and implements response plans.

FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Maintains fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the department.

• Understands and manages to financial and budget targets. Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions.

• Proactively monitors and interprets ongoing financial performance and responds strategically.

• Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions and takes accountability for financial decisions within area.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of structured application development techniques.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accept ERO position as needed.

• Accept outage position as needed.

• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Plant)

• Environmental and physical requirements require the ability to don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the defined role; ascending, descending, traversing ladders, scaffolds, stairs; working in confined spaces; moving safely over uneven or slippery terrain; working in proximity to loud equipment and possible inclement weather/temperature conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.

• Travel may be required.

• May be required to carry phone.

WORK LOCATION

• Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business need.
