Robert Half Project Manager in Waco, Texas

Description We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex programs, projects, and initiatives using a structured approach to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. The candidate must possess an active PMP certification and hold a Bachelor's degree. This role requires a hands-on leader who excels in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage large-scale, complex programs and projects from initiation through delivery using best practices and structured methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.). Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business goals. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and within budget. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, sponsors, and project teams, ensuring transparent communication, status updates, and risk management. Conduct regular project reviews and quality assessments to track progress, identify potential risks, and ensure project success. Implement and promote continuous improvement strategies to optimize project efficiency, quality, and outcomes. Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while delivering value. Ensure adherence to project management processes, methodologies, and frameworks, including compliance with company policies and standards. Drive change management initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and training efforts to support successful adoption of new processes and technologies. Provide leadership in resolving project challenges and roadblocks, offering practical solutions to keep projects on track. Lead project post-mortems and develop lessons learned reports to improve future project delivery. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Active PMP certification (Project Management detail oriented). Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, leading large-scale, complex projects or programs. Experience using structured project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean, etc.). Strong understanding of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, or similar platforms. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience managing project budgets, resource allocation, and risk management. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field. Additional certifications (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Experience with change management and process improvement methodologies. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
