GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Performs diverse functions supporting admissions activities for the overall college mission. Performs delegated responsibilities for specific admissions tasks. Provides a wide range of customer service, disseminating pertinent information to students, other staff, faculty and administrators. This position receives direction from the Coordinator, Student Admissions and exercises no supervision.
NOTE:
This is a security sensitive position, and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Associate Degree from an accredited college or university. (a minimum of 12 college credits plus relevant work experience may be substituted for required degree)
Experience:
More than one year of work experience in an office environment, including graduate work and internships.

- All phases of the admissions process, policies, and procedures in accordance with college, state, and federal rules and guidelines; 2. Desktop computing and software operations, office procedures, and customer service principles;
Skills in: 3. Maintaining detailed electronic student records; 4. Processing admissions applications and transcripts; 5. Applying state and federal guidelines and regulations; 6. Providing customer service; 7. Disseminating information both in oral and in written forms; 8. Excellent interpersonal communication; 9. Professional research and problem-solving; 10. Time-management and organization; 11. Critical thinking;
Ability to: 12. Work quickly, accurately, independently, and jointly, with a diverse range of people; 13. Learn from and adapt to changing workplace requirements; 14. Analyze situations and take effective courses of action; 15. Troubleshoot and develop solutions;
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activates.
Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
