Schedule Weekly Hours: 40 At Gundersen Health System, we're seeking a Software Engineer Senior to join ourDigital Experience Platform (DXP) Strategic Work Team.You will work to develop solutions that provide trusted digital experiences by enabling patients to take informed care actions. Digital Experience Platform (DXP) uses the Agile methodology(Scrum framework) and this role will be a part of the development team. As part of the team: The development team evaluates, prioritizes, designs, builds, tests, educates,and releases new content, solutions, and services as directedby and in collaboration with the Solution Owner You will report to the functional leader, however operating within a matrix leadership structure You will work closely with various departments and on a cross-functional team Perform the "how" from the prioritized backlog using the Scrum framework to complete assigned work during a sprint Understand the priorities, vision, mission, and how the solutions connect with staff. Become familiar with the Scrum framework and participate and lead various scrum events, as well as meet and collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts. Support and engage in change management, as well as have meaningful connections with frontline staff to understand what they need and ensure that the solutions being created meet their needs. It is important that a Software Engineer on the DXP team brings innovative thinking to the team and is able to quickly learn and adapt and bring solutions based on feedback. What's Available: Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE) Schedule: Monday-Friday days Remote/ Hybrid with potential to work on-site based on business needs What You Will Need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education 2-4 years of relevant work experience Experience in Tech Stack Strong Problem Solving Skills Ability to work well amongst a team Willingness and desire to learn new tech and grow Cloud Services, Data base content management tools, release pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (back end). Job Description: Provides detailed physical design, development, enhancement, and support for applications and systems. Performs system development and maintenance activities. Identifies ways to expand the efficiency and the effectiveness of the application development team. Leads projects or subprojects and coaches and mentors other software engineers. Major Responsibilities: 1. Software development activities under the guidance of a more senior member of the team. 2. Installation and configuration of software, applications, or tools. 3. Understanding technical document to both support and develop software. 4. Support and maintenance of existing software, applications, and development tools. 5. Management of software and application infrastructure (e.g. web and application servers). 6.Unit testing software and developing appropriate test data. 7.Update application frameworks and tools. 8. Understand and apply software development standards. 9. Partnering with other members of the IT team to develop technical solutions. 10. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance. 11. Performs other duties as assigned.
